The Red Bull Hardline downhill mountain bike race is expanding to Canada for the first time at Cypress Mountain in East Vancouver. The event features a course designed by Dan and Gee Atherton, requiring approximately 7,000 hours of construction to incorporate 27-meter jumps, massive wooden drops, and technical rocky terrain.

While the competition was expected to feature 26 elite riders, including Jackson Goldstone and Gracey Hemstreet, the schedule was adjusted due to unfavorable weather conditions. Originally planned for Saturday, the race was rescheduled to begin on Friday, October 16, 2026.

The updated schedule includes training sessions on Thursday, October 15, followed by qualifying that afternoon. The final is expected to run from 12:00 to 15:00 local time on Friday, provided weather conditions remain safe for competition. High demand for the event resulted in tickets selling out days in advance.
