Regional cycling participation is expanding through various organized events in France and Canada.

In France, the Saint-Jean-de-Monts Vendée Cyclisme association is organizing the 51st edition of the Critérium Souvenir Vincent Moreau in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, with over 160 riders expected to participate in two scheduled races.

In Canada, a regional road cycling final was held in Baie-Comeau, Côte-Nord. Supported by the Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes and local clubs such as Les Fous Braquets, this event provides young athletes in the region an opportunity to prequalify for the 2027 Jeux du Québec, a pathway that had been unavailable for nearly ten years. The initiative seeks to increase road cycling engagement in areas that have historically focused on mountain biking.
