In October 2026, Croatia hosted several major professional conferences focused on regional development, European Union funds, and entrepreneurship.

The 10th Regional Development and EU Funds Conference in Šibenik brought together over 1,000 representatives to discuss a decade of investment and future European funding. During this event, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković addressed negotiations for the post-2027 EU Multiannual Financial Framework. Additionally, agreements were signed under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism to fund local development, the green transition, and innovations in green and blue business sectors.

Concurrently, other gatherings addressed business and local governance. In Zagreb, the ‘Entrepreneurial Mindset: The Art of Business’ conference emphasized business responsibility toward community and nature. In Zadar, the 18th Lider Conference ‘48 Hours’ focused on cooperation between local governments and the business sector. Participants noted that local communities are transitioning from being mere recipients of European funds to active participants in project planning, while government officials highlighted that reductions in administrative burdens have saved entrepreneurs hundreds of millions of euros since 2018.
