Grape harvesting activities are underway across various regions in Montenegro and Croatia.

In Montenegro, the annual grape harvest, or ‘the berba’, is active in wine villages south of Skadar Lake. Harvesting schedules vary by variety: the white Krstač is picked from late August to mid-September, while the red Vranac and Kratošija are hand-harvested from mid-September into early October. In the Ćemovsko polje plain, the company Plantaže employs over 2,000 people for manual harvesting through the end of September. The Crmnica valley continues to serve as a central hub for viticulture, managed largely by small family holdings.

In Croatia, Vinarija Kutjevo has started a harvest expected to last 50 days, covering 430 hectares of owned vineyards and 300 hectares through cooperation. Due to significant drought and challenging conditions, the winery has implemented close monitoring of grape maturity, leading to an earlier start than usual to maintain freshness and alcohol balance.
