Authorities in Yantai, China, and Shiding, Taiwan, have focused on regional development and holiday preparations surrounding the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In Yantai, initiatives included the ninth China Farmers’ Harvest Festival in Laizhou, which showcased agricultural technology and production. The city also launched a three-year aesthetic education project to integrate culture into urban and rural landscapes. As the Mid-Autumn Festival approached, local leadership conducted inspections of public transportation, railway stations, and market supplies to ensure food security and smooth operations. Highway departments implemented road maintenance and 24-hour service station operations, while the Huangbohai New Area initiated environmental sanitation campaigns.

In Shiding, preparations centered on community celebrations at the All-People Plaza and public safety. Local officials implemented neutrality measures to prevent political campaigning during festivities. Simultaneously, the Xindian Police Bureau integrated traffic safety education into the holiday period, promoting pedestrian safety and managing traffic at scenic locations to accommodate travelers.
