Various regional melon festivals have been held across Turkey to promote agricultural heritage and local production.

In late August, the Çumra Çatalhöyük Melon Festival took place in Konya, featuring agricultural competitions for the largest and sweetest melons, alongside musical performances and sports. Following this, Bandırma hosted its 10th Yeşilçomlu Melon Festival, which celebrated a local melon that recently received Geographical Indication certification. This event included a traditional harvest and a competition won by 15-year-old producer Efe Karaçivi.

In mid-September, the second annual Ayvatlar Melon Festival was held in the Kula district of Manisa. The event focused on promoting regional production through a ‘Most Delicious Melon Competition,’ where winners were awarded gold coins.
