Developments: 7. Regional sports activities and competitions continue to progress across various disciplines in France. In field hockey Nationale 1, Amiens SC has experienced mixed results. Following a previous 1-0 victory against IH Lambersart, the team recently suffered a 5-3 defeat against Villa Primrose in Bordeaux. Coach Christophe Carrencotte noted that while the team maintained a good rhythm, “errors during penalty corners proved costly.” However, Amiens SC recovered with a 6-4 victory against Girondins de Bordeaux, a performance Carrencotte described as satisfying. In rugby, the Girondins de Bordeaux Espoirs secured their first away victory of the season by defeating Section Paloise 26-16, with Thomas Baronnet scoring two tries despite difficult weather. Usep continues to prepare for a critical home match against Léguevin in Fédérale 2, seeking its first win after struggles with technical consistency. Co-coach Gauthier Cap noted the team has struggled with technical errors and a lack of consistency over full 80-minute matches. Regional football in the Régional 1 and Régional 2 divisions remains active. In a Régional 1 Herbelin derby, FC Gueugnon earned a 1-0 victory over Louhans Cuiseaux FC via a 90th-minute penalty converted by Diaby. Digoin FCA drew 2-2 against Fauverney Rouvres after conceding an equalizer in the 95th minute. In Régional 2, AS Mellecey Mercurey maintained strong form with a 3-0 away win against Jura Dolois Football 2. Other ongoing developments include badminton preparation camps in Occitanie, various basketball and handball competitions, and ongoing rugby matches in Pro D2 and Régionale 1. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-20: Amiens SC and Girondins de Bordeaux achieve mixed sports results Amiens SC recorded a loss to Villa Primrose and a win against Girondins de Bordeaux in hockey, while the Girondins de Bordeaux Espoirs rugby team secured an away victory against Section Paloise. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/amiens-sc-and-girondins-de-bordeaux-achieve-mixed-sports-results ### 2026-10-18: Regional football results: FC Gueugnon wins derby Regional football updates from France include FC Gueugnon's 1-0 derby win over Louhans Cuiseaux and a 2-2 draw for Digoin FCA against Fauverney Rouvres. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/regional-football-results-fc-gueugnon-wins-derby ### 2026-10-16: Sports updates in France: Amiens SC and Usep match reports Amiens SC won their Nationale 1 field hockey match 1-0 against IH Lambersart, while rugby side Usep seeks its first Fédérale 2 victory against Léguevin. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sports-updates-in-france-amiens-sc-and-usep-match-reports ### 2026-10-13: Regional French sports: ASCBB basketball loss and Saint-Aubin FC football victory Regional French sports updates: ASCBB lost a basketball match to Portel following player disciplinary issues, while Saint-Aubin FC defeated CO Cléon 2-1 in a football derby to maintain its lead. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/regional-french-sports-ascbb-basketball-loss-and-saint-aubin-fc-football-victory ### 2026-10-02: Regional sports updates in France cover football and basketball Regional French sports updates feature Normandy football clubs in National 1 and 2, and a 55-50 victory for Mondeville in women's Ligue 2 basketball against Rouen-Bihorel. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/regional-sports-updates-in-france-cover-football-and-basketball ### 2026-09-24: France sports: results from Coupe de France and regional leagues Regional and national sports updates from France, featuring results from the Coupe de France football, rugby Nationale, and women's basketball Wonderligue. 16 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/french-sports-update-sa-xv-rugby-and-lescar-volleyball-preparations ### 2026-09-21: Regional sports competitions resume in France Sports competitions resume in France, featuring badminton training camps for youth in Lot and the start of the Régionale 1 Occitanie rugby season. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/regional-sports-competitions-resume-in-france --- Cite as: Regional sports activities in France.
