In late September 2026, several regional school cross-country running competitions were held across Poland. In Kutno, individual races for secondary students served as qualifiers for provincial finals in Bełchatów. In Słubice, relay races were conducted as part of the Lubuskie Youth Olympics, while student relay teams also competed in the Licealiada championships in Piątkowa despite heavy rain.

By early October, regional running events continued in other areas. In Mielec, the 30th edition of the Ogólnopolskie Biegi Uliczne featured races for children and youth, including a 3-kilometer President of Mielec Cup race. In Częstochowa, the 36th Złota Mila event was held near the Jasna Góra monastery to encourage physical activity among primary school students.
