The Release Athens Festival has expanded its 2027 summer lineup at the Markopoulo Complex. Following the initial announcement of headliners, the festival confirmed that Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. is scheduled to perform on Sunday, July 11. The group is touring in support of their fifth album, ‘Dopamine Chamber’.

Heavy metal band Judas Priest remains a key performer, scheduled for Wednesday, July 14. Their appearance follows the band’s broader 2027 tour announcement, which includes dates in the United States, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and the Czech Republic. The Athens performance marks the band’s return to Greece after a three-year absence.

Previously announced acts include German band Tokio Hotel, who are set to perform on July 7, 2027, at the ERGOSTASIO35 venue as part of their ‘SUMMER ENCORE 2027’ European tour.
