Prime Video has announced that the romantic comedy ‘Don’t Be Shy’ will begin streaming on September 25. Produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt through Eternal Sunshine Productions, the film is a coming-of-age story directed by Sreeti Mukerji.

The narrative follows 20-year-old Shyamili ‘Shy’ Das, played by newcomer Aarushi Bajaj, as she navigates life after a breakup. The story explores themes of friendship, first love, and self-discovery, specifically focusing on an unexpected connection between Shy and Tara, her ex-boyfriend’s new partner.

The cast includes newcomers Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora, and Piyush Khati, alongside established actors Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik. 

Following the trailer launch, Alia Bhatt shared insights into her role as a producer, noting that she finds a different sense of fulfillment in production. She remarked that she felt more nervous introducing a debutant director and four new actors than she did during her own acting debut 14 years ago.
