The French film ‘Santiago – Un cammino per ricominciare’, written and directed by Yann Samuell, explores themes of personal rebirth and social reintegration through a journey along the Camino de Santiago. Based on Bernard Ollivier’s book ‘Marche et invente ta vie’, the narrative follows a teacher named Fred and a troubled teenager named Adam as they trek from Le Puy-en-Velay in France toward the Spanish coast.

The film depicts a transformative experience inspired by real-world organizations that use long-distance walking as an educational tool for vulnerable youth. These programs aim to foster resilience and provide alternatives to detention by removing digital distractions. Following its release in France, the film has expanded its reach to Italian cinemas.
