The television series ‘Tip Toe’, created by Russell T. Davies, explores themes of online radicalization, homophobia, and suburban hostility. Set in Manchester, the narrative follows Leo, an LGBTQ+ bar owner, and his escalating conflict with a neighbor, Clive, who has been driven by conspiracy theories and prejudice.

The production, which debuted on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom before arriving on streaming platforms like Starz and HBO, utilizes a non-linear structure that begins with the protagonist’s murder. Davies has noted that the series reflects real-world concerns regarding how social media algorithms and political rhetoric can lead to violence and the targeting of the queer community.
