Developments: 3. The film ‘Corpus Delicti’, directed and written by Lena Stahl, held its world premiere at the Delphi Filmpalast in Berlin. Based on the bestseller by Juli Zeh, the dystopian story is set in a near-future society governed by a system known as ‘the Method’ that prioritizes health and security through total surveillance and the sacrifice of personal freedom. The system utilizes strict hygiene protocols, including subcutaneous chips to monitor biological data. The narrative follows neurologist Mia Holl, portrayed by Hannah Herzsprung, as she attempts to prove the innocence of her brother, Moritz, played by Damian Hardung, following a murder accusation. As Mia fights the system, she becomes a target of the very authorities she once trusted. Lead actor Damian Hardung noted that while his character differs from his previous roles, such as in ‘Maxton Hall’, Moritz is fundamentally driven by the deep bond with his sister. The production features an ensemble cast including Alexander Fehling, Haley Louise Jones, and Christian Friedel. The film’s visual design includes brutalist architecture and was supported by Oscar-winning production designer Christian M. Goldbeck and composers Volker Bertelmann and Lennart Saathoff. Following its scheduled timeline, the film arrived in cinemas on October 1, 2026. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-02: Damian Hardung and Hannah Herzsprung star in ‘Corpus Delicti’ Actors Damian Hardung and Hannah Herzsprung discuss their roles in the new dystopian film ‘Corpus Delicti’, which follows siblings navigating a system that prioritizes security over all else. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/damian-hardung-and-hannah-herzsprung-star-in-corpus-delicti ### 2026-09-29: Corpus Delicti film adaptation arrives in cinemas October 2026 Lena Stahl’s film adaptation of Juli Zeh’s dystopian bestseller “Corpus Delicti” arrives in cinemas on October 1, 2026, exploring a society where health security demands total surveillance. 19 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/corpus-delicti-film-adaptation-set-for-german-release-in-2026 ### 2026-09-15: Corpus Delicti holds world premiere in Berlin The film Corpus Delicti premiered in Berlin, starring Hannah Herzsprung and Damian Hardung.
