The production, which covers front-office decisions, roster trades, and the personal lives of teenage players, was scheduled for an October 16, 2026, release. Following the scheduled date, the Canadian original docuseries, produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment in association with Amazon MGM Studios, became available for global streaming on Prime Video. Since its release, ‘Hometown Giants’ has received positive initial reviews. Critics have praised the series for its portrayal of high-pressure moments and its focus on the young players.
