The first trailer has been released for ‘Fortitude’, a World War II spy thriller directed by Simon West. The film depicts Operation Fortitude, the Allied deception campaign used to mislead Nazi Germany regarding the location of the D-Day landings. Nicolas Cage stars as Duško Popov, a Serbian double agent believed to have inspired the James Bond character.

The ensemble cast includes Ben Kingsley, Michael Sheen, Matthew Goode, Ed Skrein, Alice Eve, and Jordi Mollà, with Sheen portraying Winston Churchill. 

Parallel to the film’s release, the production is involved in a legal dispute. Producer Simon Afram (or Simon Abrahams) has filed a lawsuit against Netflix seeking at least $105 million after an unencrypted master copy of the film was allegedly lost following the theft of hard drives from the production company’s office.
