At the India Mobile Congress 2026, Reliance Jio unveiled new AI-powered smart glasses designed to reduce smartphone dependence. The product lineup includes two models: JioFrames, a premium version featuring a camera for HD photography, video recording, and live social media streaming, and a voice-only version.

A primary feature of the devices is the ability to perform hands-free UPI payments. Users can scan QR codes via the integrated camera and initiate transactions using voice commands. Under UPI Circle rules, these transactions are limited to Rs 5,000 per instance and Rs 15,000 per month.

Additional capabilities include real-time translation for 12 Indian languages, AI-powered note-taking, live cricket commentary, and health coaching. The glasses will operate on the JioReality OS, with a potential market release scheduled for late 2026 or early 2027 as the company seeks to compete with Meta and Samsung.
