Religious and cultural festivities are being organized across Maharashtra, specifically in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Nagpur.

In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, preparations began for the Dahi Handi and Ganeshotsav festivals. Security measures for Dahi Handi included the deployment of over 1,200 police personnel and Home Guards, alongside drone monitoring of major intersections. Local traders also submitted infrastructure requests to municipal authorities, such as pothole repairs and improved drainage, to accommodate festival crowds.

Following these events, Navratri celebrations were scheduled to commence on October 11. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the 27th Navratri Music Festival was set to feature classical vocalists and instrumentalists. Simultaneously, Nagpur prepared to host the ‘Dhamal Dandiya 2026’ festival, a nine-day event featuring live music and various amenities.
