Sassari is conducting several religious observances, including the feast of Our Lady of Mercy, the patron saint of the Gremio della Mercede. The festivities involve a solemn mass led by Archbishop Francesco Antonio Soddu and a traditional torchlight procession with local musicians and civic organizations.

Simultaneously, the Archdiocese of Sassari and Missio Sassari are marking the centenary of World Mission Day. This commemoration included the inauguration of a plaque at the Archbishop's Seminary and prayer sessions led by Cardinal Giovanni Angelo Becciu, centered on the theme ‘One in Christ, united in mission’.
