The city of Bella Vista hosted the 28th Encuentro del Pueblo de Dios, an event that brought together more than 40 pastoral groups from 13 departments within the Archdiocese of Corrientes to celebrate the city’s 200th anniversary. During the central mass, Archbishop José Adolfo Larregain emphasized the theme of synodality, stating the motto is ‘to find each other, know each other, and walk together.’

On October 19, 2026, the Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Carmen celebrated its bicentennial. The commemorative program, presided over by Archbishop Larregain, included a solemn procession, the blessing of new national and Vatican City flags, and the enthronement of a first-degree relic of San Carlo Acutis. The event also featured cultural tributes with folk music and local gastronomy.

During the celebrations, Archbishop Larregain officially announced the commencement of the Parish Jubilee Year. Using the motto ‘Caminando juntos bajo tu manto’ (Walking together under your mantle), he called upon the faithful to strengthen community bonds and commitment throughout the jubilee period.

In a separate local religious activity, the María Auxiliadora parish hosted a Confirmation ceremony for approximately 155 adolescents and adults. Parish priest Marcelo Miño noted an increase in participation this year, specifically highlighting adults seeking to deepen their faith.
