At the Saint-Gervais Saint-Protais church in Étrépagny, a renovation project estimated at 2.7 million euros is expected to last until the end of 2027. Following previous work on the bell tower and roof, current efforts focus on restoring north and south stained-glass windows at a specialized workshop. In the commune of Vexin-sur-Epte, local authorities are managing the maintenance of 14 different religious buildings across 14 villages. Mayor Michel Jouyet highlighted the difficulty of allocating public funds among various historical sites, including classified heritage locations like Notre-Dame de Tourny. To justify public spending, the municipality is looking into developing new cultural uses for these buildings to complement their religious functions and preserve the region’s architectural heritage. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-08: Agriculture in Eure: Generational shifts and pasture management Farmers in France's Eure region are navigating generational transitions and climate challenges, focusing on large-scale crop production and strategic autumn pasture management following summer droughts. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/agriculture-in-eure-generational-shifts-and-pasture-management ### 2026-09-13: Religious heritage restoration efforts continue in Eure, France Religious heritage sites in the Eure region of France face significant restoration challenges, from ongoing multi-million euro works in Étrépagny to funding dilemmas in Vexin-sur-Epte. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/religious-heritage-restoration-efforts-continue-in-eure-france --- Cite as: Religious heritage restoration in Eure, France.
