Religious activities and security operations continue in Jujuy surrounding the pilgrimages to the sanctuaries of the Virgin of Río Blanco and Paypaya. Authorities have deployed 200 police officers to support devotees and manage access routes, following extensive planning between the provincial executive, the municipality of Palpalá, and the Sanctuary.

In San Salvador de Jujuy, the Jujuy Legislature has hosted ceremonies for the annual visit of the Virgin of the Rosary, including the blessing of new clothing for the image. Additionally, the Legislature presented a ‘Declaration of Legislative Interest’ to the Bishop regarding the anticipated apostolic visit of Pope Leo XIV to Argentina in November.

To manage the large crowds, local officials have implemented traffic and parking restrictions. Alongside these religious observances, the municipality is expanding local environmental initiatives, such as the launch of a new ‘Ecopunto’ in the Cuyaya neighborhood to promote recycling and composting.
