A 22-year-old brown bear named Yavor, who had lived in the Lovech Zoo since 2012, was scheduled for transfer to the Four Paws Bear Park near Belitsa. The relocation followed a donation agreement between the Blagoevgrad Municipality and the Four Paws Foundation to move the bear from concrete enclosures to a more natural environment featuring grass and water.

Following medical examinations and transport via a specialized bear ambulance, the transfer was completed. Yavor was placed in a quarantine sector in the Rila mountains equipped with a pool and an artificial den. Park officials reported that the bear is behaving calmly and eating well as veterinary staff monitor his adaptation.
