On October 18, conservative TikTok influencer Thelma Louise was escorted from a campaign rally for Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton in San Antonio, Texas. Louise, who has over 200,000 followers and has publicly supported the Republican Party and Donald Trump, reported that she was asked to leave while filming the event on her phone.

Louise alleged that the campaign manager requested her removal. She expressed shock and disappointment in social media videos, stating she had done nothing wrong and had traveled two hours to attend the ‘Come and Take It’ tour event to promote early voting.

The Paxton campaign has not provided a public explanation for the incident. The event, which also featured U.S. House candidate Brandon Herrera, has generated significant online debate regarding the treatment of Black conservatives within the MAGA movement.
