Dacia has expanded its bi-fuel (petrol-LPG) engine offerings to include its entire vehicle range, excluding purely electric models. The brand reports that approximately 40% of its customers choose bi-fuel technology, which can reduce fuel costs by up to 60%. Since 2010, Dacia has sold over 1 million bi-fuel vehicles and holds a significant share of the European LPG market, with recent reports indicating a share exceeding 67%.

In the Polish market, the Renault Group maintains a dominant position, accounting for 98.5% of new passenger car registrations with factory-installed LPG systems as of September 2026. Within this segment, Dacia led with 1,601 registrations, while Renault recorded 755. The Dacia Duster Eco-G was the most popular model, representing 25.3% of the LPG market, followed by the Renault Captur Eco-G 120 and the Dacia Sandero.

New Eco-G 120 versions of the Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Jogger have been introduced, featuring a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo bi-fuel engine producing 120 hp, paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. These systems are integrated directly into the production line and include a standard 5-year factory warranty.

In the Czech Republic, demand for factory-fitted LPG vehicles is rising as drivers seek relief from high petrol prices. With gasoline reaching approximately 50 CZK per liter, consumers are turning to LPG, which offers cleaner combustion and a lower tax burden. Filip Kučera from Auto ESA notes that the latest generation of the Dacia Duster with factory LPG is “highly sought after in the near-new used car market,” as drivers aim to cut fuel costs in half without compromising range or warranties. Recent market activity shows a 2024 Dacia Duster with 17,800 km listed in a premium used car program for 430,000 CZK, reflecting the continued interest in the model as gasoline prices hover around 46 CZK per liter.
