Major Polish retailers are implementing large-scale photovoltaic projects to increase energy efficiency and utilize renewable resources.

Netto Polska completed a project in partnership with Hymon, installing solar panels at more than 300 stores with a total capacity exceeding 15 MWp. In 2025, these installations produced over 12,369 MWh of electricity, with approximately 90 percent of the energy produced on-site being consumed by the stores.

Similarly, Biedronka is collaborating with GreenYellow on a project covering more than 2,300 stores, totaling 117 MWp in capacity. These installations generate approximately 113 GWh of energy annually. To further optimize consumption, Biedronka is utilizing a Building Management System across nearly 2,500 locations to manage ventilation, lighting, and other equipment.
