The development of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) is being advanced through local initiatives and broader support frameworks. In Molfetta, Italy, the Diocese of Molfetta-Ruvo-Giovinazzo-Terlizzi presented the ‘Arca di Pace’ Renewable and Solidarity Energy Community. Led by the ‘Stola e Grembiule’ social cooperative, this project seeks to integrate energy sustainability with social responsibility to assist vulnerable populations.

On a wider scale, the EU-cofunded LIFE ISLET project has introduced helpdesks to serve as ‘One-Stop Shops’ for Mediterranean islands.
