The remains of Yevhen Konovalets, the first leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and a colonel in the Ukrainian People's Republic army, were exhumed from the Crooswijk Cemetery in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on August 11, 2026. Konovalets was assassinated in Rotterdam in 1938 by a Soviet NKVD agent using a bomb hidden in a box of chocolates.

Following an order from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the remains were repatriated to Ukraine. On August 13, 2026, the coffin arrived at the Uzhhorod border crossing, where it was received with state and military honors.
