Recent medical research has identified several lifestyle and biological factors linked to long-term health and mortality. Studies published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine indicate that physical activity, specifically walking distance and pace, significantly impacts longevity. Findings suggest that maintaining a cadence of 90 to 100 steps per minute for 30 minutes daily can lower the risk of cardiovascular and all-cause mortality.

Further research has expanded into biological rhythms and psychological stressors. A Finnish study found that individuals with an evening chronotype face a 1.7 times higher risk of receiving a disability pension compared to morning types. Additionally, research into student wellness has linked a chronic sense of time pressure to increased anxiety, depression, and decreased academic performance.

Earlier findings also highlighted the social implications of digital habits, noting that spending more than two hours a day on social media can double the likelihood of feeling socially isolated among young adults.
