Recent architectural developments highlight diverse residential designs in the Azores and Brazil. In the Azores, the AW House in Candelária features a partially subterranean lower floor and a glass-walled upper floor designed to provide views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sete Cidades massif.

In Brazil, residential projects emphasize distinct spatial concepts. The Apartamento dos Pórticos in São Paulo utilizes a symmetrical layout defined by four porticos and features historic furniture. Meanwhile, the GAK House in Porto Feliz focuses on landscape integration, employing a polygonal green roof and sloping terrain to create a structure that is “largely invisible to passersby.”
