The premiere achieved high viewership, reaching up to 28% in certain segments of the target audience. As previously planned, the episode featured a musical guest, Eleonora Zouganeli. During the broadcast, Zouganeli delivered an emotional tribute to the late artist Giorgos Mazonakis, opting to perform a song by Antonis Vardis in his memory rather than his own works. Lazopoulos utilized the platform to address current events, specifically focusing on the circumstances surrounding Mazonakis’ death. He raised criticisms regarding alternative medical practices and the conditions at a medical facility in Kolonaki, suggesting that the artist may have passed away before being transported to the hospital. Following the premiere, Lazopoulos announced a scheduled return for October 28 during an appearance on MEGA Non Stop. He expressed his intention to use the program to voice opposition to various societal and political trends, criticizing the current state of television and the perceived hypocrisy in broadcasting. Lazopoulos also addressed the limitations placed on satire and offered critiques of Greek political figures and parties. He commented on the perceived weakness of Konstantinos Tasoulas, criticized Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis regarding his connection to hospital realities, characterized the New Democracy party as having moved toward the far-right, and noted that the rebranding efforts of Alexis Tsipras have lacked clear direction and substance. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-17: Lakis Lazopoulos announces return of Al Tsantiri News Lakis Lazopoulos announces the return of ‘Al Tsantiri News’ on October 28, while offering sharp critiques of Greek political figures and the current state of television satire. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/lakis-lazopoulos-announces-return-of-al-tsantiri-news ### 2026-10-07: Lakis Lazopoulos returns to MEGA with Al Tsantiri News premiere Lakis Lazopoulos premiered the new season of ‘Al Tsantiri News’ on MEGA, drawing high ratings and featuring an emotional tribute to the late Giorgos Mazonakis by Eleonora Zouganeli. 7 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/lakis-lazopoulos-returns-with-al-tsantiri-news-on-mega-1 ### 2026-10-02: Lakis Lazopoulos returns with ‘Al Tsantiri News’ on MEGA Lakis Lazopoulos returns to MEGA with the satirical show ‘Al Tsantiri News’ on October 7, featuring Eleonora Zouganeli as the first guest. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/lakis-lazopoulos-returns-with-al-tsantiri-news-on-mega ### 2026-09-24: Lakis Lazopoulos returns to MEGA with ‘Al Tsandiri News’ Lakis Lazopoulos returns to MEGA with the satirical show ‘Al Tsandiri News’ for a third season, premiering Wednesday, October 7, at 21:00. 7 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/lakis-lazopoulos-returns-to-mega-with-al-tsantiri-news --- Cite as: Al Tsandiri News returns to MEGA with high ratings.
