The Bulgarian crime series ‘Pod Príkritie’ has returned to BNT for its sixth season, ten years after its previous episode. BNT General Director Milena Milotinova described the production, a collaboration with Falconwing Studio, as intended to be the network’s “most large-scale and spectacular project to date.”

Following the massive popularity of initial screenings, which sold out in less than 48 hours, the premiere event at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia saw approximately 8,000 fans attend two official screenings. This marked a rare instance where a television production sold out the venue's largest hall for two consecutive nights. During the premiere, Milena Milotinova noted the “high level of audience loyalty” following the decade-long hiatus.

The new 12-episode season officially began broadcasting on BNT 1 on October 10 at 22:00, launching a new Saturday night programming block. Executive producer Magardzh Magardzhiev noted the intention to move the production closer to film quality to compete with modern streaming platforms, focusing more on psychological drama and social themes. The plot is expected to explore corruption and the connections between power, money, and crime.

The cast includes returning actors such as Zahari Baharov, Marian Valev, and Mikhail Bilalov, as well as new additions like Julian Vergov and Radina Kerdzhilova. The production remains a collaborative effort involving director Viktor Bozhinov and producer Dimitar Mitovski.
