Reyer Venezia began their 2026-2027 season with consecutive victories in both domestic and international competitions.

In their Lega Basket Serie A season opener, Venezia defeated Acqua S. Bernardo Cantù 85-73. The team established early dominance with a 17-2 run and maintained a double-digit lead throughout much of the second half, supported by five players scoring in double digits.

Following the domestic win, Venezia secured a 104-72 victory against Skyliners Frankfurt in their EuroCup season opener at the Taliercio sports hall. After an initial competitive period, Venezia established a 28-17 lead by the end of the first quarter. The team eventually surpassed the 100-point mark behind balanced scoring, including 14 points each from Watson, Wiltjer, and Candi, as well as 12 points each from Tessitori and Green.

Venezia continued their Serie A winning streak with a 104-98 victory against BC Roma. This high-scoring matchup marked a milestone for coach Neven Spahija, who achieved his “100th victory in the league.”

Despite BC Roma establishing an early lead of up to 12 points, Venezia utilized a “decisive defensive shift” and improved perimeter shooting in the second half to reclaim control. Kyle Wiltjer led the offense with a career-high 32 points and a performance rating of 36. Other key contributors included Parks with 21 points, Tessitori with 11, and Green with 10. The comeback was further supported by dominance in offensive rebounding and a high number of free throws earned.
