The Riau Provincial Government announced a program to waive administrative fines for Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) to assist citizens with tax arrears. Ninno Wastikasari, Head of the Riau Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), stated the incentive is designed to provide relief for those in arrears. 

The program was limited to the month of August. Under this scheme, taxpayers are only required to pay the principal tax amount. For those who have not paid their principal tax for two years or more, the facility allows for the payment of the principal tax owed for the last year plus the principal amount of previous arrears.
