The municipality of Riccione has initiated several local development and infrastructure projects.

In early September, the city allocated over 100,000 euros toward road safety and public lighting improvements. The project includes installing the ‘Sicur-Led’ high-visibility system, replacing lighting poles, burying overhead power lines, and constructing a 1.8-kilometer pedestrian and cycle path. These works are expected to be completed in early 2027.

Shortly after, the municipal government approved guidelines for the first 14 private beach concessions. These five-year assignments for seaside equipment areas aim to encourage competition by limiting the number of lots an applicant can win. The selection process will prioritize management quality, environmental sustainability, and the employment of women and youth, with concessionaires providing annual contributions to be reinvested into local tourism services and infrastructure.
