The state of Rio Grande do Norte has conducted several public service examinations to fill various government vacancies.

In July 2026, the State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration (Seap-RN) initiated a recruitment process for 260 positions, including prison police and specialized roles such as social workers, psychologists, and doctors. 

By August 2026, the State Administration Secretariat (Sead) ratified the final results for the Unified Public Exam. This separate recruitment process provided 175 vacancies for the State Transit Department (Detran), Supply Centers (Ceasa), and the State Civil Servant Pension Institute (Ipern), following a high registration turnout.
