River Plate and Boca Juniors are preparing for their Superclásico encounter on Sunday, November 1, at La Bombonera. Both clubs enter the derby following recent victories in the Torneo Clausura 2026.

Boca Juniors secured a 1-0 win against Independiente via a late goal by Jagger Herrera and currently leads the annual table. While the team is in good physical condition, captain Leandro Paredes is expected to be available despite previous injury concerns.

River Plate arrives following a 1-0 victory over Racing, scored by Lautaro Rivero. However, head coach Leonardo Ponzio continues to manage fitness doubts regarding Aníbal Moreno and Sebastián Driussi, both of whom have reported lumbar discomfort. While medical studies ruled out a muscle tear for Moreno, his participation remains uncertain.

The upcoming match carries significant implications for the playoff standings and the annual championship race.
