RK Vardar secured its first victory of the EHF Champions League season with a 33-27 away win against Nantes in France. The win followed four consecutive losses and was highlighted by goalkeeper Miloš Valač, who recorded 17 saves.

Following this victory, the team prepared for its final group stage match against MT Melsungen in Skopje. Although Vardar is set to move to the EHF European League rather than advancing to the Champions League main phase, coach Ivan Cupić described the upcoming fixture as a matter of pride and honor.
