In early October 2026, the municipal administration of Río Gallegos, Argentina, underwent several changes and initiatives under Mayor Pablo Grasso.

On October 5, Mayor Grasso presided over a ceremony to swear in four new municipal secretaries. These appointments included Ignacio Rodríguez Suárez for Sports, Néstor González for Construction and Territorial Planning, María de los Ángeles Grasso for Community Development, and Marcela Vega for Planning and Public Works. The Mayor stated these changes were intended to allow for “broader participation from different sectors of the community.”

Following these administrative shifts, on October 9, the Mayor distributed new uniforms to the staff of the Municipal Tourism Secretariat. Tourism Secretary Mercedes Neil noted that providing updated attire was a significant effort within the “current economic context” and helped identify municipal agents while they interact with residents and tourists.
