Initial efforts focused on municipal ordinances to address infrastructure and land issues. This included the “Municipal Sanitary Sanitation Program for the Prevention of Water Freezing,” a shared-effort initiative to prevent frozen water connections, and the regularization of land tenure for agricultural producers in the APYMEMA sector. The Council also introduced programs to promote local poultry production and declared certain lands linked to the Argentine Navy as being of municipal and strategic interest. Subsequent developments have shifted toward environmental conservation and waste management. The city is set to inaugurate its first classified waste station, a private initiative supported by the municipality to facilitate the recycling of dry materials. Furthermore, progress has been reported on the AcBio Project, which includes updated management plans for Laguna de los Patos and the use of social and nature mapping tools to enhance urban planning and ecosystem protection. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-25: Río Grande advances environmental management and recycling initiatives Río Grande is enhancing environmental sustainability through the upcoming launch of a new waste recycling station and advancements in the AcBio Project for ecosystem conservation. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ro-grande-advances-environmental-management-and-recycling-initiatives ### 2026-08-28: Río Grande Council approves water freezing prevention and land tenure measures Río Grande's City Council approved a water pipe freezing prevention program and land regularization for agricultural producers in the APYMEMA sector to boost local development. 17 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/corrientes-municipality-proposes-urban-sidewalk-emergency --- Cite as: Río Grande municipal management and development.
