Infrastructure development in Catalonia has seen significant funding allocations for road improvements in the Pallars regions. 

In Artesa de Segre, the Generalitat awarded an 18 million euro contract to improve a 6.2-kilometer stretch of the L-512 road. The project, expected to conclude by mid-2028, includes widening the roadway, rehabilitating the Pont d'Alentorn to include pedestrian and cyclist paths, and enhancing safety features on the Segues River viaduct.

Additionally, the Department of Territory has launched a subsidy program for municipal and rural road maintenance in mountain regions. Out of a 6 million euro total allocation, 1.489 million euros are designated for the Pallars regions, with 821,500 euros for Pallars Jussà and 667,500 euros for Pallars Sobirà. Minister Sílvia Paneque noted these subsidies aim to “guarantee territorial equity and improve living conditions” to help prevent depopulation.
