# Robbery investigation following fatal Cancún accident

On August 20, police in Cancún detained two men, Jessy Vear “N” and Pedro “N”, for allegedly robbing victims following a fatal traffic accident on August 14. The crash, which occurred on Boulevard Kukulcán, resulted in the deaths of Jonathan Succar Pita and another individual. 

Investigators found that a taxi had been following the victims' vehicle prior to the collision. Authorities allege the suspects exited the taxi after the accident to steal high-end jewelry and watches from the deceased. Seized items included gold chains, watches, a ring, a silver coin, and a bracelet. The suspects remain in preventive detention.
