During the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing, several significant robotics developments were presented. Xiaomi introduced its humanoid robot, Tieda, which stands 1.70 meters tall and features 66 degrees of freedom. Following real-world training in an electric vehicle factory, the robot demonstrated a 98 percent success rate in nut installation tasks.

Additionally, DaxAI (also referred to as DxAI Robotics) showcased the Qiji X1, a ride-on quadrupedal robot described as a ‘Cyber Horse’. Designed for off-road use, heavy lifting, and search-and-rescue, the 320 kg machine can carry payloads of up to 300 kg. The Qiji X1 features a top speed of 10 km/h and a battery range of approximately 40 km. DaxAI also introduced the Qiji XS, a version with small wheels on its legs for smoother surfaces capable of speeds up to 40 km/h. Both Qiji models have been made available for pre-order, with prices ranging from 289,000 to 359,000 yuan.
