Following the discovery of a 37-year-old Romanian national’s body in the Gudenå river near Svostrup, Denmark, on August 24, Romanian authorities arrested four men in connection with the murder.

Police investigations indicated the victim had been weighted down by a car battery and that the killing likely occurred at a summer house near Fårvang. The suspects, aged 22, 25, 26, and 31, were working in Denmark at the time of the incident. Acting on a Danish arrest warrant, Romanian police apprehended the individuals in the districts of Constanța, Dâmbovița, Buzău, and Brăila. Midt- og Vestjyllands Politi stated they believe these four individuals are responsible and do not expect any other accomplices to be at large.
