The German crime series “Rosenheim‑Cops” is undergoing a significant cast reshuffle ahead of its 26th season, which is scheduled to begin on October 6, 2026. Marisa Burger will depart after approximately 25 years in the role of police secretary Miriam Stockl. Her final episode, titled “Es gabat an Abschied”, is set to air on ZDF on November 24, 2026.

Several other long-term cast members are also leaving the production. Isabel Mergl is departing after more than nine years as Hildegard ‘Hilde’ Stadler, and Christian K. Schaeffer is leaving his role as Ignaz ‘Jo’ Casper after over two decades. New additions to the cast include Sarah Thonig, who will step into the secretary role, and Maya Haddad, who will join as Yasmin Rabe, the new manager of the bar ‘Das Rosi’.

Amid these transitions, veteran actress Karin Thaler has disclosed experiencing intense nervousness during live TV promotions, describing the experience as “fearful” and “sweaty”. Thaler is currently promoting her autobiography and will embark on a reading tour in autumn 2026. 

The upcoming 24-episode season will consist of new content and previously unbroadcast episodes from season 25 that were delayed due to the Olympic Games. Filming continues to utilize the private “Hofer‑Hof” farm for exterior shots and Bavaria Filmstadt studios for interiors.
