In late July 2026, the Salon Rossini series presented Rossini’s *Stabat Mater* and *Petite Messe Solennelle* in Mercatello sul Metauro, followed by two final Salon concerts on 30 July in Montelabbate and 31 July in Urbino. On the same day, Casa Rossini and the Museo Nazionale Rossini opened the “Le Siège de Corinthe” exhibition, marking the opera’s 200th anniversary and linking it to the Greek War of Independence.

On 5 August, the interdisciplinary exhibition “La Città della Musica” opened at the Salone Antonia Pallerini in Palazzo Gradari, Pesaro, later moving to the Galleria Rossinifino. This show connects Urbino’s Renaissance heritage with Rossini’s legacy through visual art, music, dance, cinema, and gastronomy. A second exhibition, “Dall’archivio alla scena”, curated by Paola Mariani, Andrea Giovanni Calì, and Eugenia Cantone, ran from 8 to 23 August at Rossini’s birthplace and the Sala della Repubblica of the Teatro Rossini, displaying original sketches, costumes, set models, and scores to illustrate the journey from manuscript to stage.

The 47th Rossini Opera Festival took place from 11 to 23 August, featuring 32 events across the Auditorium Scavolini and the Teatro Rossini. The festival opened with a new staging of *Le Siège de Corinthe*, directed by Davide Livermore and conducted by Carlo Rizzi, featuring Adrian Sâmpetrean, Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Maxim Mironov, and Matteo Roma. The production depicts the fall of Corinth to Ottoman troops. Other festival highlights included revivals of *L’occasione fa il ladro* and *La scala di seta*, a bel-canto recital by Juan Diego Flórez, and a performance of the *Stabat Mater* under Ramón Tebar. Additional concerts featured Aziza Omarova, Enrico Basso, Keisuke Onoda, and Dave Monaco, alongside the “Flórez 30” celebration. During the festival, the Festival Giovane presented *Il viaggio a Reims* on 16 and 19 August.
