The RSPCA conducted a ‘multi-animal rescue’ at a property in Kent, where a nine-year-old lurcher named Jude was found living in unsanitary conditions without electricity or clean water. Jude was discovered alongside eight other dogs and several snakes.

Following his rescue, Jude was moved to the Leybourne Animal Centre to undergo rehabilitation for physical abuse and blindness. While he initially struggled with basic tasks like walking on a leash or recognizing his name, staff report he has made progress in playing with toys and interacting with other dogs.

Despite his recovery, Jude has been awaiting adoption for over 400 days. Shelter staff are seeking a quiet home with a fenced garden for him.
