The selection process for the management of RTP for the 2027-2029 triennium has reached its final stage. The Independent General Council (CGI) has concluded the application period, leaving four pairs of candidates to compete for the leadership roles.

The candidates include the incumbent duo, Nicolau Santos and Hugo Figueiredo, as well as three other competing pairs: Francisco Teixeira and Gustavo dos Santos Lima; Luís Castro and Luísa Ribeiro; and Pedro Mota Carmo, who is repeating his 2021 candidacy. The CGI has framed the selection process under the theme ‘A new cycle for RTP’s Public Media Service.’
