Ruefa, a subsidiary of the Austrian tourism group Verkehrsbuero, has announced plans to expand its presence in Austria by acquiring 31 Reisewelt branches. The acquisition, which is subject to antitrust approval and has received support from the supervisory board of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich, includes approximately 170 employees and covers locations in Upper Austria, Burgenland, Vienna, Salzburg, Lower Austria, and Styria.

Under the direction of CEO Martin Winkler, the branches will initially maintain the Reisewelt brand before undergoing a rebranding process. The expansion also incorporates group travel operations and the company’s flight department, aiming to integrate personal consultation with digital services.
