In October 2026, the Saracens rugby club terminated the contract of academy player Totoa Auvaa with immediate effect. The dismissal followed an alleged altercation in St Albans that is under investigation by Hertfordshire Police. The club stated that Auvaa’s conduct fell short of the standards expected of its representatives.

This incident followed a previous confrontation in June involving members of the England cricket team. Two weeks after his departure from Saracens, Auvaa signed with the Bristol Bears. Bristol Bears director of rugby Pat Lam stated a willingness to provide mentorship to help the player develop and learn from his past mistakes.
