Russia is conducting the ‘Center-2026’ strategic military exercises in the Ural region, involving over 47,000 personnel and participation from several nations, including China. The drills focus on command coordination and the deployment of new military technologies.

Recent developments during the exercises include the demonstration of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, such as the Giran-4 and Giran-5 models, which are capable of releasing incendiary substances. Other showcased equipment includes the Zarya laser system, the Izdelie 347 missile system, and various tank and bomber models.

Parallel to these maneuvers, Russian forces have conducted strikes against strategic infrastructure in Ukraine. Specifically, jet-powered Geran UAVs targeted the South Bridge over the Dnipro River in Kyiv, causing explosions and fires that necessitated a state of emergency and the blockade of the bridge.
